Auditions: Things My Mother Taught Me

7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 14 and Tuesday, Sept. 15

Auditions for the comedy Things My Mother Taught Me by Katherine DiSalvino will be held by Director Chad Zepp at 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 14 and Tuesday, Sept. 15 (callbacks, if needed, TBD) at the Hanover Little Theatre, 360 Blooming Grove Road. The show will be on stage Nov. 6-8 and 12-15, with new performance times: Nov. 6, 12, 13 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 7-8 and 14-15 at 2 p.m.; individual tickets go on sale Oct. 3.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Auditioners will fill out an audition form and provide a list of scheduling conflicts. (Rehearsal schedules will be created based on cast availability.) All auditions are for those 18 years and older.

ROLES

OLIVIA KEEGAN, ­ presenting female, late 20s — An architect, she is energetic, neat, and slightly OCD.

KAREN KEEGAN, presenting female, late 50s-60s — She is Olivia’s mother.

CARTER KEEGAN, presenting male, 60s — He is Olivia’s father.

GABE LAWSON, presenting male, late 20s — He is a good-natured writer.

LYDIA LAWSON, presenting female, late 50s-60s — She is Gabe’s mother.

WYATT LAWSON, presenting male, 60s — He is Gabe’s father.

MAX MIROWSKI, presenting male or female, late 50s — They are the building superintendent with a Polish accent.

SYNOPSIS

Olivia and Gabe are moving into their first apartment after packing all of their belongings and driving halfway across the country to start a new life together in Chicago. Their moving day doesn’t go exactly as planned, though, and things become slightly more complicated when all of their parents show up to help. Can a two-bedroom apartment contain all of the love, laughs, worry, and wisdom that’s about to happen?
