Hanover Little Theatre (HLT) recently donated $500 to the American Cancer Society to support the Relay for Life of Hanover in memory of the late Susan Cooper, a former HLT performer and supporter. Second Vice President Brian Shea (center) presented the check to Jenna Klunk, Community Manager of Relay For Life or the East Central Division of the American Cancer Society (right) and Kim Leese, Event Lead for Relay for Life of Hanover.
The donation came from a fundraiser held during the recent production of Run For Your Wife at HLT. The theatre donated $2 for every ticket sold for the Saturday, Nov. 14 show to Relay. An anonymous patron matched that donation. Patrons and friends of the theatre also made donations to reach the final total.
This marks the fifth show which has doubled as a fundraiser for a local nonprofit. The theatre has donated almost $2,500 to a variety of groups since inaugurating this effort in November 2014. The nonprofit partner for the upcoming production of Little Shop of Horrors will be announced in early 2016.
