Auditions for all roles for the second show of the 2022-2023 season, Godspell, by John-Michael Tebelek with music by Stephen Schwartz, will take place at 7pm on Monday July 18th & Tuesday July 19th, with call backs on Wednesday July 20th at Hanover Little Theatre.
Please prepare a vocal selection of at least 16 bars. You may bring sheet music, CD/iPod, or sing acapella. Dance or comfortable footwear is encouraged for the movement/choreography portion of the audition.
This iconic musical will be directed by Deborah Williams. Show dates are November 11-13 and 17-20, 2022. Evening shows start at 7:30pm and matinees at 2:00pm.
Synopsis:
A small group of people help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and a hefty dose of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus’ life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus’ messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life in this musical featuring songs by Stephen Schwartz.
