‘The Mousetrap’ Tickets Now On Sale

Posted on February 26, 2019August 13, 2024 by brian_shea

A group of strangers is stranded in a boarding house during a snow storm, one of whom is a murderer. That’s the outline of The Mousetrap, one of Agatha Christie’s best-known mysteries and the third show in Hanover Little Theatre’s 70th season.

The suspects include the newly married couple who run the house, a spinster with a curious background, an architect who seems better equipped to be a chef, a retired Army major, a strange little man who claims his car has overturned in a drift, and an attorney who makes life miserable for everyone. Into their midst comes a policeman, traveling on skis.

Quinton Laughman will direct the show, which will have 8 p.m. performances on March 29-30 and April 4-6. There will be 2 p.m. matinees on March 31 and April 7. A reception, sponsored by Giant Foods, will follow the Opening Night performance.

Tickets are on sale now for the show. Online ticket sales will be available around the clock. Members can reserve their seats today. You can also call 717-637-5297 to reserve tickets or take advantage of our box office hours.

Come visit our Box Office at the theatre (360 Blooming Grove Road, Hanover) to buy show tickets for The Mousetrap on the following days and times:

  • Saturday, March 16, 10 a.m. to noon
  • Sunday, March 17, noon to 2 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 23, 10 a.m. to noon
  • Sunday, March 24, noon to 2 p.m

Christina DiNicolo (The Sensuous Senator) and Adam Sontag will play Mollie and Giles Raston, the hosts for the evening. The rest of the cast features Joseph Fagan (Christopher Wren), Maureen Thiec (Mrs. Boyle), Dave Miller (Major Metcalf), Catie Dinneen (Miss Casewell), Tim Evans (Mr. Paravicini) and Kirk Wisler (Detective Sergeant Trotter).

The nonprofit community partner for this show is TrueNorth Wellness Services’ Amazing Kids Club.

The theatre will donate $2 to the Amazing Kids Club for every ticket sold to the Saturday, March 30, performance. Sommer & O’Donnell — Attorneys at Law as well as an anonymous patron will match that donation, generating $6 for every person attending March 30. Additionally, donations for the Amazing Kids Club will be accepted at all seven shows.

Since inaugurating this effort in November 2014, the theatre has donated nearly $10,000 to a variety of area groups.
