Hanover Little Theatre (HLT) recently donated $400 to the Safe Home Program at the Hanover YWCA. HLT Board President Heidi Hormel (right) presented the check to Safe Home director Anne Acker.
The donation came from a fundraiser held during the recent production of Little Shop of Horrors at HLT. The theatre donated $2 for every ticket sold for the Saturday, April 9 show to Safe Home. An anonymous patron matched that donation. Patrons and friends of the theatre also made donations to reach the final total.
This marks the sixth show which has doubled as a fundraiser for a local nonprofit. The theatre has donated $2,900 to a variety of groups since inaugurating this effort in November 2014. The nonprofit partner for the upcoming production of Weekend Comedy will be announced soon.
